Payments platform Adyen has promoted Colin Neil to the role of UK managing director.聽

Neil has been with Adyen since 2018 and previously held the role of head of commercial (UK), heading up the company鈥檚 office in Manchester.聽

He will take over from Myles Dawson, who is stepping down after nine years in the post.

Neil joined Adyen after spending more than nine years with Burberry, where he oversaw transformation projects and helped the luxury fashion house create a unified customer experience. Prior to that, he spent nine years with international home improvement retailer Kingfisher.

Neil will be charged with helping Adyen鈥檚 UK business navigate the current market disruptions and continue growth. Recent new customer wins include luxury furniture brand Loaf and Edinburgh-based heritage brand Hunter.

鈥淚鈥檓 relishing the opportunity to take over the UK business of Adyen 鈥 it鈥檚 an organisation that I鈥檝e loved working at for the past three years. I look forward to leading our amazing team in the UK to help merchants overcome the challenges they face recovering from the pandemic,鈥 said Neil.聽

鈥淚t鈥檚 an honour to take over from Myles Dawson, who has been such a mainstay of Adyen, founding the UK office nine years ago. The company has continued from strength to strength and now during these challenging times we are looking at how we can be there even more for our customers and their end-users, improving the payments experience across Adyen鈥檚 core industries.鈥

Roelant Prins, CCO at Adyen, added: 鈥淐olin joined us several years ago with a rich experience across the sectors in which we operate, so we know he is the best person for the job and to continue Adyen鈥檚 growth in the UK.

鈥淚 would also like to thank Myles Dawson for his fantastic service over the past nine years.聽

鈥淗e has been an important part of the Adyen team, growing the UK business from just one person to a team of more than 100 with offices in London and Manchester. We wish him the very best for the future.鈥
