Social impact startup has appointed David Annez as CTO.
Annez joins the London-based company after serving in the same role at Lottie, which ranked at top spot on the 2025 Startups 100.
Before that, he was VP of product at LoveHolidays, and at uSwitch, where he was head of engineering.
In his role at Beam, Annez will lead the development of the firm鈥檚 AI tool , which is now in use at more than 80 local authorities.聽
He will also support the development of tech and AI that supports Beam鈥檚 caseworkers to deliver support to thousands of vulnerable individuals.
Founded in 2017, Beam brings AI to welfare services in partnership with more than 100 government partners.
Its first AI tool in the market is Magic Notes. Social workers use the tool to record their meetings on a smartphone or laptop.
After the meeting is over, Magic Notes uses generative AI to create the paperwork they need and emails it directly to the social worker.
