Biotechnology company Bicycle Therapeutics听丑补蝉听announced the appointment of Sir Keith Peters FRS听to听chairman of the听firm鈥檚 scientific听advisory听board.听
Sir Peters is Emeritus听Regius听Professor of Physic at the University of Cambridge, where he was also head of the School of Clinical Medicine.听听
He is a fellow of the Royal Society, and fellow and past president of the Academy of Medical Sciences.听
His听industry experience includes membership of The Board of Advisers to Merck Research Laboratories and Senior Consultant in R&D to GlaxoSmithKline.听听
In the听BioTech听sector, he was a longstanding member of the scientific advisory board of Cambridge Antibody Technology. Prior to working in industry, Sir听Peters听held a number of academic appointments, including posts at the University of Birmingham, the National Institute for Medical Research at Mill Hill and the Welsh National School of Medicine.听听
The firm is a听clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a novel class of medicines, referred to as Bicycles for diseases that are underserved by existing therapeutics.听听
