Coding school Code Nation has entered two new partnerships to support tech recruitment.

Communications firm Moneypenny has joined forces with Code Nation鈥檚 pledger scheme, which enables businesses to have access to their talent before other recruiters.

It also hosts mentoring, workshops and live projects for their students.

老九品茶 telecoms and IT service provider Vivio is heavily investing in the company with the aim to address the digital skills shortage in the UK, but has also seen Code Nation open a second branch within Vivio鈥檚 Chester HQ, as well as moving its Manchester office to a larger space at Spring Gardens.

鈥淭he partnership has been a fantastic opportunity for Code Nation to expand and grow,鈥 said Andy Lord, CEO of Code Nation.

鈥淣ot only do we now have the experience and support of a key player within the telecoms industry, but with the two new sites, we are also able to open our offering up to more businesses and individuals.

鈥淲e are currently working on several initiatives to address the skills shortage, most recently with the Adult Education Budget to provide fully-funded coding and cyber security courses.鈥

Code Nation is a training organisation that offers coding and cyber security courses to students of all levels, based in both Chester and Manchester City Centre.

Mel Carlen, Head of IT at Moneypenny said: 鈥淚t was wonderful to be able to host the Code Nation students here at our Moneypenny offices.

鈥淭hey all enjoyed a tour of our Tech Garden and hearing about the Moneypenny story. Following this, the students worked really hard to pitch some brilliant ideas for potential future Moneypenny projects which were extremely impressive.

鈥淲e are looking forward to them presenting the finished projects.”

Founder and CEO of Vivio, James Wright, added: 鈥淲e鈥檙e extremely proud to partner with Code Nation and to be a part of a business that not only offers a digital solution to us, but the industry as a whole.

鈥淭he world is moving fast and the UK digital skills shortage is becoming a real issue. 老九品茶es such as Code Nation are not only filling a skills gap, but they are also giving people the opportunity to enter into an industry that they never thought they could.鈥
