Technology

Global real estate platform Wealth Migrate has achieved a valuation of almost 拢17 million after it overfunded by 217 per cent on Seedrs.

The online marketplace gives investors direct access to exclusive real estate investment opportunities in premier markets.

The aim is to help the vast majority of people who have no means of investing into the global聽property market to gain access, for as little as $1,000.

It hopes to reduce this even further to just $100 as its stated purpose is to 鈥渟olve the wealth gap鈥.

Founded in 2010 by renowned global real estate investors Scott Picken and Hennie Bezuidenhoudt, Hong Kong-headquartered Wealth Migrate opened an office in London in 2017 to add to its operations in Shanghai, China, the US, Australia, the UAE and South Africa.

It was seeking 拢750,000 on the聽crowdfunding site for 4.26 per cent equity but has attracted more than 拢1.6m.

The UK office is headed up by Ken Williams, who has over 20 years’ experience in investment banking in addition to extensive knowledge of regulatory and global financial markets.

He has held executive roles at well-known financial institutions, such as ING, Deutsche Bank and Sanlam, and earned a reputation of successfully launching, managing and growing businesses in the finance and property sectors.
