A tech startup which is on a mission to drive up data literacy in businesses has raised 拢430,000 ($525,000) in pre-seed funding.

The Data Literacy Academy was founded by Greg Freeman, former VP Revenue at Kleene, to tech companies how to understand, communicate and drive decisions from the data they hold.

The company aims to help 10,000 businesses and their employees achieve聽data聽literacy聽by 2030.

The investment has been led by Haatch Ventures, with backing from Ufi Ventures.

Jason Foster, author of 鈥楧ata Means 老九品茶鈥 and CEO and founder of Cynozure, has joined Data Literacy Academy as a non-exec director.

Freeman said: 鈥淧re-seed funding is a hugely exciting time for any startup – it鈥檚 the launchpad from which the future can develop.
