The deadline for 老九品茶Cloud鈥檚 Founder 250 list has been extended until May 8.

After several last-minute requests for an extension to our original deadline of April 30, companies now have until the end of next week to submit their nominations.

老九品茶Cloud鈥檚 executive editor Chris Maguire said: 鈥淲e鈥檝e been deluged with requests for a bit of extra time for companies wanting to submit their nominations and we don鈥檛 want to miss anyone out.

鈥淭he number of requests we鈥檝e had for an extension is a sign of the level interest that our inaugural Founder 250 list has had and we really do want to celebrate the best of the best.

鈥淚t couldn鈥檛 be easier to get your nominations in. Companies can either self-nominate or be nominated by someone else and we鈥檝e already got a really impressive long list.

鈥淭he final list is expected to be published in June and followed by a series of UK-wide founder roundtables. Get nominating.鈥�

RSM UK is the headline sponsor of the Founder 250 list and is joined by three other sponsors: CG, OBI and Mercia Ventures.

To qualify, companies must have a significant UK presence, be cash-generative and have been founded no later than 2024.

While not essential, judges will also favour businesses with a clear purpose, including B Corp status, ESG strategies or a commitment to charity or social impact.

    Core eligibility criteria

    To be considered for the list, companies must:

    鈥� Be founder-led or founder-influenced (e.g. founder as chair, significant shareholder, or in a strategic role)
    鈥� Be a UK-registered company (UK HQ or significant UK operations)
    鈥� Be revenue-generating (not pre-revenue)
    鈥� Demonstrate clear evidence of growth (e.g. revenue, team size, funding, market expansion)
    鈥� Have been founded or incorporated no later than 2024

    While not essential, judges will also look favourably on businesses that demonstrate a clear purpose, such as:

    鈥� B Corp certification
    鈥� ESG strategy
    鈥� Social impact or charitable initiatives
    鈥� Closing date for submissions: 30 April 2026
