Digital skills specialist Netcom Training has secured 拢5m in government funding to deliver courses to hundreds of learners across Liverpool.
The funding 鈥� from the Adult Learning Budget 鈥� has been allocated to Netcom by Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA).
The move will see Netcom open dedicated digital training facilities and create new jobs in the region.
Over the next five years, Netcom will provide more than 350 fully-funded places on digital courses to plug the skills gap by enabling learners to get into work.
Over 150 places will be available on its Level 2 course in Digital Skills for the Workplace while more than 200 places are allocated for Level 3 courses in Web Design for Marketing Entrepreneurs, Infrastructure Technician and聽AWS re/Start (cloud computing) in collaboration with Amazon Web Services.

Adam Holden is already benefitting from Netcom鈥檚 training provided through LCRCA鈥檚 digital skills bootcamps.
The 31-year-old from Liverpool recently completed a 10-week online cyber security course and said: 鈥淭he course was fantastic 鈥� the tutor made it very engaging and it has opened up my passion for IT. I can now go on to develop my skill set and career. The training has given me a foot in the door to a career in IT.鈥�
Netcom Training has also secured funding from the West Midlands Combined Authority to provide 365 fully-funded places on digital skills courses in the region. The company is now targeting a national rollout of its training programmes.

The Government has placed learning at the heart of its Levelling Up White Paper, published in February 2022. It has pledged that, by 2030, the number of people successfully completing high-quality skills training will have significantly increased in all UK areas.
