CMR Surgical, the company behind surgical听robotic system听Versius,听丑补蝉听appointed听Barrington 顿鈥橝谤肠测 as Chief Operations Officer.听听
As听COO听Barrington will oversee the growth of CMR听厂耻谤驳颈肠补濒鈥檚听manufacturing and supply chain to support the company鈥檚 global expansion.听
Barrington has more than 20 years of manufacturing experience, having started his career in the automotive industry as a manufacturing engineer and most recently working within the aerospace industry.听听
He joins CMR from听Elon Musk鈥檚听SpaceX, where his primary focus was to accelerate SpaceX’s capability to manufacture space rockets in a high-tech, low-volume environment.听听
While听at SpaceX, Barrington developed the manufacturing engineering team and led the composites manufacturing team across all disciplines.听听
Prior to this, Barrington worked in manufacturing plants across Britain and Europe, specialising in automated manufacturing solutions for BMW and MINI, taking vehicles through the concept phase into full production.
