FinTech Griffin has made two executive hires as it enters a key phase of growth.

The banking-as-a-service startup has appointed Sameer Dubey as chief product officer and Fergus Speight as general counsel.聽

The London company – aiming to become the 鈥榦perating system for embedded finance鈥 – has launched its first product, Verify, and moved its sandbox out of beta.聽

Prior to Griffin, Dubey was chief operating officer at crypto exchange Bitstamp and head of operations for European digital bank N26. He has also served as head of payments products (UK) at Barclays Corporate Bank.聽

Prior to Griffin, Speight was general counsel at Royal London and has practised law for over 25 years. He will be responsible for scaling the company鈥檚 legal function, a key pillar of any FinTech seeking to become an authorised bank.聽
