Facebook has announced that it will create 500 new tech jobs in London by 2020.
The social network has also said that it would employ more than 3,000 people in London by the end of the year.
Facebook said that the UK remains its largest base outside of the US.
鈥淪afety is our top priority at Facebook and over the last two years we鈥檝e substantially increased our investment in this area,鈥� said Nicola Mendelsohn, Facebook鈥檚 vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at a London Tech Week event.
鈥淭hese hundreds of new jobs demonstrate not only our commitment to the UK but also our determination to do everything we can to keep Facebook safe and secure.
鈥淢any of these new roles will accelerate our artificial intelligence work in London as we continue developing technology to proactively detect and remove malicious content.鈥�
