Former eBay exec appointed Skyscanner CFO

Edinburgh unicorn Skyscanner has appointed former eBay executive Kris Beyens as its new CFO.

Beyens is a former CFO at eBay International and COO/VP at eBay EMEA.

He also spent 13 years in finance roles at General Electric, spanning business like GE Industrial Systems and GE Healthcare.

鈥淭ravel is a passion of mine, and as a world-class provider of flights, hotels and car hire, Skyscanner is leading the industry鈥檚 transformation towards modern and sustainable travel,鈥 said Beyens.

鈥淲ith over 100m people using Skyscanner every month, the business put over 172m flight passengers in the air last year.

鈥淚n 2018 flight tickets purchased via Skyscanner totalled $23.7bn. It is clear that Skyscanner is in a strong position to pave the way for the future of the industry.鈥

Beyens will be based in Skyscanner鈥檚 London office and will replace outbound CFO Colin McLellan.
