Glasgow RecTech firm Candidate.ID has appointed Doug Sawers as its new chair.
Sawers brings nearly three decades of board level experience in international listed and private equity-backed companies, including time spent in the HR software and services industry with Ceridian. He is also a Chartered Accountant and has significant M&A experience, including three successful company sales.
Candidate.ID鈥檚 platform allows firms to automate parts of the recruitment process, including the sourcing and filtering of potential candidates.
The tech is used by the likes of Specsavers, IBM and Balderton Capital.
Last year, the third in its operation, saw it undertake new software and engineering initiatives and the raise of 拢!m in seed investment.
Commenting on his appointment, Sawers said, 鈥淚 became interested in Candidate.ID when they undertook a very professional and effective investment raise in mid 2019 and have gotten to know the senior team there over the last 6 months.
