Motion, a care technology company founded by University of Sheffield graduate Zeezy Izenman, has successfully closed a 拢250k funding round.
The raise has come from a mixture of angel investors and an Innovate UK grant and will be used to accelerate the expansion of the company鈥檚 digital platform.
Motion鈥檚 digital platform is already improving outcomes for over 3,000 care home residents whilst driving operational efficiency for providers.
The human-centred technology improves resident outcomes, reduces administrative burden for care teams, and keeps families informed and connected.
The investment round attracted backing from experienced entrepreneurs and sector specialists.
The UK residential care sector is valued at 拢26.2bn annually but remains significantly under-digitised.
Zeezy Izenman, CEO and founder of Motion, said: 鈥淲e鈥檝e identified a clear market need with quantifiable business benefits.

Izenman founded Motion while studying at the University of Sheffield and it now serves multiple care providers.

The funding will support product development, sales team expansion and strategic partnerships with major care home operators.
