EdTech developer CoreBlue has received over 拢250,000 backing from the UK鈥檚 innovation agency, Innovate UK.
The capital will aid the development of EdTech software CreatED, a product of the Plymouth based developers.
It is the second time the firm has worked with Innovate UK on the development of EdTech to improve teaching during Covid-19.
CreatED is a tool that allows educators to use existing teaching assets like PowerPoints and worksheets to deliver their lessons remotely either live or as pre-recorded video.
The tool is designed to aid teachers in their day-to-day role and make remote education more accessible and productive, which also enabling a switch between online or in classroom teaching at short-notice.
Lewis Boyles-White, MD of CoreBlue, said: 鈥淭eachers are really busy, so our aim is to make tools which make their day-to-day jobs easy and more efficient. While a host of applications have been developed that create online classrooms and learning environments, there has been little work done to make the lives of teachers easier and help them create new content.
鈥淐reatED will remove the duplication teachers previously faced in developing assets for use in class and online and reduce the technical barrier to entry.”
