An international software and payments firm will create 200 jobs in Newcastle听city centre听by opening a customer service centre.听
Newcastle beat off stiff competition from nine other UK cities听to welcome Xplor, which is expanding globally. The jobs, to be created in 2021,听will include听customer service,听software development,听R&D,听multilingual and technical support.听
The company, which received almost a million pounds from the North听of Tyne Combined Authority鈥檚 Inward Investment Grant Fund,听plans to expand further in the North East city听in the coming years.听
Leader of Newcastle City Council, Cllr Nick Forbes, said: 鈥淣ewcastle is a city on the global stage.听听
鈥淲e are now building a strong digital sector, which includes a growing FinTech base, that can compete with other big cities and have the ingredients we need 鈥� good transport links, culture, beautiful open spaces, a vibrant night-time economy and a skilled versatile workforce to attract investors.听

Xplor offers enterprise software solutions for businesses in听education,听health and听fitness,听boutique听wellness,听field听services and听personal听services,听as well as a global, cloud-based processing platform that allows clients to securely process payments for their services.听听
It听employs more than 2,000听people听across offices in the UK, Europe, Australasia and North America.听
