London start-up Wishu has launched its app across the UK.
The firm claims its app is the first to offer transactions between creative freelancers and businesses in need of their services.
The app promotes user鈥檚 work, manages bookings, and handles payments and invoices.
Targeted at Generation Z creatives, it hopes to seize a growing market of young creatives who are turning to freelancing as their working mode of choice.
The start-up claims that Generation Z poised to represent 75 per cent of the workforce by 2030.
Co-founded by entrepreneurs Lavena Xu, CEO, James Johnson, CTO and Hubert Trinkunas, Head of Community, the trio have created a community of over 6,000 creative talents, attracting a total investment of 拢450k to date.
Senior figures from US accelerators Y-Combinator and TechStars are reportedly onboard as well as Daniel Evans, previously head of product at fashion social marketplace Depop, who joins the team as head of product.
鈥淭he upcoming generation of creatives are increasingly gravitating towards freelancing and a DIY model of building their careers,鈥 said Xu.
