Fast growing Builder.ai has announced a strategic collaboration with Microsoft which includes an equity investment.
It follows the news in March 2022 that the low-code AI development platform had received 拢76m in Series C funding.
Established in 2016, Builder.ai claims to build software and apps up to 6x faster and 70% cheaper than traditional human teams, without users needing to 鈥榮peak tech鈥�.
The collaboration with Microsoft will see the two companies partner on creating AI-powered solutions that empower businesses to develop applications and become digitally native without the need for any technical expertise.

The collaboration will accelerate go-to-market growth of the Builder.ai 聽platform through deep product connections across the Microsoft product ecosystem. This includes integrations across Azure OpenAI Service and other Azure Cognitive Services.

Through this collaboration, Builder.ai will help businesses advance their digital transformation journey in a frictionless manner, offering customers integrated access to cloud services on Azure (payments, infra, messaging etc) to support the applications they are building.

The 2022 funding was led by New York-based Insight Partners. Bringing the company鈥檚 total funding to $195m across three total rounds, the Series C includes participation from existing investors in combination with new individual and institutional names that include the IFC & Jeffrey Katzenberg鈥檚 WndrCo.
