League One club Sunderland has announced a new partnership with Apple which sees the global tech firm become the club鈥檚 exclusive music streaming partner.
The service will enable supporters to access playlists curated personally by the players, with the first featuring tracks chosen by players Luke O鈥橬ien, Jack Baldwin and Jon McLaughlin.
Sunderland AFC playlists will be available through the club’s website and via the SAFC Playlists on Apple Music. As an introductory offer, supporters will be able to take advantage of Apple Music free for three months.
Supporters can also listen to Shipyards by The Lake Poets, the theme tune to new Netflix series Sunderland 鈥榯il I Die.
The 鈥楽ounds of the SoL鈥 playlist, which features all of the tracks played in the stadium on matchday, will also be available on Apple Music before each home game.
Sunderland AFC managing director Tony Davison said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 fantastic for us to be partnering with such an iconic, global brand and we are delighted to welcome Apple Music to our Sunderland family.
鈥淢usic is such an integral part of the whole matchday experience and now our supporters will be able to download both our matchday playlists and tracks chosen specially by the players, so they can feel part of it, even if they aren鈥檛 at the game.鈥
