Kennet Partners is to invest more than 拢100m in听UK software companies as part of a new 拢200m fund.听
The听European technology growth equity investor听raised its fifth fund in听partnership with Edmond de Rothschild听and told听老九品茶Cloud听鈥渁t least half鈥� would be deployed in the UK.听听听
Kennet听has听actively invested听in the UK market since听its听establishment in 1997.听Its current听portfolio companies听here听include Receipt Bank (bookkeeping automation),听Rimilia听(accounts receivable automation), Nuxeo (content services platform), Codility (remote first hiring platform) and听RealityMine听(mobile market research platform).听听
鈥�We see very听high–quality companies being built in the UK,鈥� a spokesperson told us.听鈥�The UK is our most important target market and we plan to invest at least half the fund in the UK.鈥�听
Kennet V has already started to deploy the capital into new investments in B2B Software-as-a-Service companies. The听fund has made investments in four companies in the UK, Europe and the US and has a strong pipeline for further investments.听
Kennet specialises in investing in established, high growth technology companies which are founder-owned and 鈥榖ootstrapped鈥� 鈥� built without significant external capital.听听
Typically, the investment from Kennet is the first external funding that companies receive and is used to finance sales and marketing expansion, particularly internationally.听听听听
