Parking app JustPark smashes 拢4m funding target

Parking app JustPark has raised at least 拢7.2m in its latest crowdfunding round.

The London firm, founded in 2006, has now raised at least 拢14.7m in total through a combination of private and crowd-based funding since 2011.

JustPark Founder and CEO Anthony Eskinazi left Deloitte to establish the firm when he was only 23, and ran the business by himself until 2011.

He is also Vice Chair of the British Parking Association Technology, Research & Innovation Board.

Following a record breaking Crowdfund in 2015 in which it raised 拢3.7m, it has now round raised at least 拢7.2m in its latest round from 5549 investors.

It said it will use the funds to accelerate its core business and expand into new markets.

JustPark’s app and website provides drivers with real-time information on availability, restrictions and price for 1.4 million parking spaces across the UK.

It describes its mission as optimising and repurposing space, 鈥渆nsuring people can make smarter, seamless and sustainable transport decisions鈥.

It has previously won the British Parking Awards 2017 and Richard Branson鈥檚 #VOOM competition.

Previously it has been backed by BMW, Index Ventures and LocalGlobe.
