Nominet, the official registry for domain names ending in 鈥.uk鈥 such as gov.uk and nhs.uk, has chosen Paul Fletcher as its next CEO.鈥犅
Fletcher is currently CEO at BCS, the chartered institute鈥痜or IT, an organisation with 60,000 members.鈥
He will鈥痡oin Nominet in February 2022.
Fletcher鈥檚 career has focused on technology and education. During his time at BCS, he led a programme promoting digital apprenticeships that helped restore the organisation to profitability after a regulatory change had a major impact on revenues.鈥犅
Prior to鈥痟is time at BCS, Paul was MD of educational technology at鈥疪M Education,鈥痑n educational technology business,鈥痑nd has held鈥痑 number of鈥痮perational management and鈥痵trategic鈥痗onsultancy roles.鈥犅
Nominet chair Andrew Green said: 鈥榃e were looking for a CEO who would put purpose at the heart of Nominet. Someone to oversee a significant increase in public benefit spending and build strong relationships with members.聽
