Readers听of the online technology publication听and an independent judging panel have together听decided the 100 companies blazing a trail听with original technology听for听the听healthcare and medical听sectors.听
MedTech 50
The听MedTech 50听celebrates听businesses helping to diagnose and treat conditions, mainly in a clinical setting such as a hospital, and other biotechnology companies.听
Hy-genie, an innovative hand hygiene听monitoring听solution, tops听the ranking after producing 鈥渆xceptional鈥� results in boosting handwashing at听Alder Hey hospital听during the COVID-19 pandemic.听
In fourth spot, behind听Panakeia听补苍诲听Andiamo,听is听GripAble, a听start-up digitising rehabilitation from hospital to home听through听hand-held sensors, software and data services.听
The top five was rounded out by听Xploro, a companion app for children undergoing cancer treatment in hospital.听听
Isansys听Lifecare, which has developed a听remote patient monitoring platform combining wearable sensors, wireless connectivity, predictive AI analytics, dashboards and alerting,听was in the top 15.听
Ostara Biomedical, which is听building products and affordable solutions to assist and guide prospective parents through the fertility pathway 鈥� from diagnosis to conception and birth 鈥� also made the ranking.听

HealthTech 50
The听HealthTech 50听focuses on companies creating tech for personal and preventative healthcare, as well as GP practice management and messaging platforms.听
It was led by听AccuRx听ahead of听Careology,听which听connects people with a cancer diagnosis to their family and friends, and to their clinicians, so they are fully supported in their听journey.听
Other companies in the top five include听ZoomDoc, ORCHA and EMIS Health.听
People Matter Technology, the company behind听an听ethical data-led platform,听Okina, which supports positive mental wellbeing, made the top 10 ahead of听Visionable.听
Visionable听is a听clinical grade collaboration platform which听enables听the听sharing of video, data and medical device imaging to support accelerated diagnostics and treatment decisions.听
Dietary Assessment Ltd,听which听specialises in providing high-quality nutritional analysis software 鈥� myfood24 鈥� to researchers, educators and healthcare professionals, lit up 16th听spot.
HealthTech 50 – UK’s most innovative health technology creators for 2021
老九品茶Cloud called on its readers to vote for companies from the 110-strong (MedTech 50) and 90-strong (HealthTech 50)听shortlists听and saw听approximately听1,300听votes pour in听on each.听听听
A combination of these votes and choices from an听independent听judging panel determined the top 50s.听听听
