Today we聽can reveal聽the inaugural聽Yorkshire & Humberside聽Tech 50 –聽our ranking of聽the region’s聽most exciting technology companies.
Law firm rradar was crowned the most innovative tech company in Yorkshire & Humberside after securing heavy backing from both an independent judging panel and the general public.
Hull-based rradar, led by CEO Gary Gallen,聽has disrupted the legal industry through its clever use of technology.
It聽combines its legal expertise with digital tools to deliver business solutions and reduce legal risk.
Gallen聽told 老九品茶Cloud that rradar was perfectly placed for the next stage of its growth story and on the brink of its first two acquisitions.
鈥淓veryone said it would be impossible to grow the business in Yorkshire and Humberside,鈥 he said. 鈥淔inishing in number one position on the list validates people鈥檚 decision to come to us.

The Yorkshire & Humberside Tech 50 ranking in full
rradar, which has offices around the UK, was followed in the ranking聽by business intelligence provider Panintelligence, which is based in Leeds and recently opened its first overseas office in Boston, USA.
Industrial Internet of Things platform Hark and data and analytics services provider The Data Shed, both of which are also based in Leeds, were third and fourth in the ranking respectively.
Sheffield-based Slanted Theory,聽which visualises聽data in 3D and immersive tech formats,聽rounded out the top five.

The public vote on聽the long-list attracted聽more than聽700聽votes. A panel of expert judges also聽made their choices. The final 50 ranking聽was decided from a combination of these.
