Coding bootcamp听Northcoders听has appointed听Sandy Lindsay MBE as chair amid a series of additions to its executive board.听
The Manchester- and Leeds-based company said Lindsay, awarded an MBE in 2015 for services to business and young people,听will take up the role next month.听
Lindsay听is the founder and chair of听communications agency听Tangerine and听established apprentices鈥� academy, The Juice Academy, to address the digital skills gap in the North West.听听
She chairs skills groups for the Institute of Directors and the North West 老九品茶 Leadership Team, is on the 老九品茶 Leadership Council for Teach First and Vice Chair for Forever Manchester.听
Nick Parker, an experienced corporate funding expert, will also join the group as a non-executive director. Nick oversaw听Wandisco’s听IPO and was CFO of Dyson Group plc and Volex PLC, as well as being the CEO of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club PLC.听
Members of staff听Charlotte Prior and Amy Wild听joined听existing executives Chris Hill, Amul Batra and Lindsay听on the board听last month听to complete the strategic appointments of the last six months.听

Having joined听Northcoders听in August 2018,听CFO听Prior has significant experience in finance roles ranging from the construction industry to a registered charity, and as leader of听Northcoders鈥� financial operations fulfils a central role in the board鈥檚 discussions, plans and strategy.听
Wild has over 17 years鈥� of corporate leadership experience. She joined听Northcoders听as chief commercial officer in June 2020 to lead the development and execution of all commercial strategies and manage the group鈥檚 sales, partnerships and marketing teams.听

Since its inaugural course in 2015,听Northcoders听has helped over 750 people switch careers into tech, with average starting salaries of around 拢25,500.听95%听secure a software engineering role after graduation.听听听
Northcoders鈥� main campus is at Manchester Technology Centre and it has a base at Platform in Leeds.听
