Mobile payments company WorldRemit has made two senior appointments.
O2鈥檚 former brand and Marcomms Director Ian Cafferky has joined the London-headquartered firm as Chief Marketing Officer.
Meanwhile MILVIK BIMA鈥檚 former Chief Product and Technology Officer Stephen Lovell joins as Chief Product Officer.
The appointments will focus on product development and boosting WorldRemit鈥檚 customer experience through new technologies.
CEO Breon Corcoran said: “The mix of Stephen and Ian鈥檚 consumer and digital backgrounds makes them fantastic additions to WorldRemit and I鈥檓 excited to have them both on board for 2020.
鈥淭heir expertise will help us innovate our service offerings and grow the business.鈥
Cafferky began his career as a strategy consultant for Accenture before moving to Hachette Livre then leading the commercial and brand team at Manchester City Football Club.
Lovell joins from MILVIK BIMA where he was responsible for product and technology development, disrupting the global insurance and health industries by opening them up to consumers in the developing world normally excluded from access.
He previously held senior roles in product and technology at Paddy Power and Reckitt Benckiser.
Lovell said: “I am excited to be joining WorldRemit, the company鈥檚 purpose of supporting people around the world to manage their money more easily is a crucial one with today鈥檚 increasingly global workforce. I hope to be able to bring lots of ideas from other highly regulated spaces to bring amazing products to more and more people.鈥
Cafferky said: 鈥淚鈥檓 delighted to be joining the business at this stage in its story. I am excited by the potential of the brand given its roots in migrant remittances and the management鈥檚 ambitious growth.
鈥淚鈥檒l be hitting the ground running with plans of my own to really bring our story and what we stand for to our customers and the market, increasing our customer base and market reach even further.鈥
