South Yorkshire聽data firm WANdisco has secured its largest ever cloud contract with a major US health insurer.
The agreement is for an initial three-year subscription period and valued at approximately $3 million.
The insurer employs 22,000 people and has 15 million members. It will deploy Big Data and cloud product WANdisco Fusion to help its customers move data without interruption to business operations.
David Richards, CEO and chairman of the firm which has dual headquarters in聽Sheffield and California, said: 鈥淭his contract illustrates the significant traction we are gaining in healthcare and other key industries.
鈥淭he $3 million contract initially spans three years, but there is significant potential to expand this further to meet their developing data requirements.
