The start-up behind an operating system for听quantum computing has raised听拢15 million.听
The Series A round into听Cambridge-based听Riverlane听is intended to听accelerate听the firm鈥檚 mission to make听quantum computers useful听and expand to the US, throughout Europe and beyond.听
European technology venture capital fund Draper Esprit听led the round,听supported by existing investors Cambridge Innovation Capital, Amadeus Capital Partners and the University of Cambridge.听
Quantum computers听can solve听problems that are fundamentally impossible to solve on classical computers. The听step–change in computing power听is expected to听have an enormous impact on a variety of industries.听听

One-fifth of the world鈥檚 quantum hardware manufacturers have signed up听to use the听Deltaflow听OS.听

The听new funding follows a 拢3.25m seed round completed in June 2019.听
