Social Chain co-founder Steve Bartlett is to become the youngest-ever Dragon on long-running BBC series Dragons鈥� Den.听
Aged just 28, Bartlett will听join fellow investors Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden,听Touker听Suleyman and Sara Davies on series 19, replacing听Tej听Lalvani.听
“I’ve been watching Dragons’ Den since I was 12 years old – it was my first window into the real world of business and investing,” said Bartlett,听adding that the move was听“a tremendous honour”.听
Bartlett co-founded social media marketing agency Social Chain with Dominic McGregor in Manchester in 2014.听
Achieving a reach of听more than听two听billion views per month,听the company听has around 750 employees with locations in Manchester, Berlin, London, New York and Munich, and听works with world leading brands such as Amazon, Coca Cola and Apple.听听
In October 2019, Social Chain merged with听Lumaland听AG to form The Social Chain AG and list on XETRA and the D眉sseldorf Stock Exchange.听听听
He and McGregor听left the business last year.听
Bartlett听said he wants to inspire “a new generation of entrepreneurs, inspiring young and specifically under-represented entrepreneurs to follow in my footsteps”.听
