Manchester-based talent marketplace Hiring Hub has appointed Mark Rothwell as its new chief executive.
Rothwell succeeds Ollie Beaton, who stepped in as interim CEO following the departure in May of Ashley Sellar.
Hiring Hub was founded by Simon Swan in 2011 to connect businesses with recruiters to help them find the best candidates.
The company 鈥 used by On The Beach, London & Partners, SSE, Henkel and Sega 鈥撀attracted several million pounds in private equity funding聽from MonacoSol at the end of 2022 to scale its sales and customer operations in the UK and internationally.
Swan announced he was stepping down as CEO a year ago but has remained in the business to focus on a more strategic role.
Rothwell, who previously spent 16 years at Pareto Law, said: 鈥淚鈥檓 thrilled to share that I鈥檓 joining Hiring Hub as CEO 鈥 a significant step for me personally and one that I鈥檓 incredibly excited about.
鈥淚 have been aware of the business for some time and Hiring Hub has always stood out to me as company with immense potential.
鈥淚 have previously been both a hiring manager and a recruiter so I understand the problem we solve from both sides and look forward to meeting with as many of our employers and recruitment partners as soon as possible.鈥
Simon Wilkinson, chairman and investor in Hiring Hub, said: 鈥淭his is the third time I鈥檝e looked at Mark joining various companies I鈥檝e been involved in , excited he鈥檚 now joined the team at Hiring Hub.鈥
Hiring Hub represented MonacoSol鈥檚 second investment in the recruitment sector, following its injection of capital into Furza, a graduate sales recruitment and training business also based in Manchester.
In 2023 PE-backed Hiring Hub announced it had expanded into Germany following its appointment by Henkel, a German-based multinational consumer goods company, to streamline and support all of its third-party recruitment activity.
Dusseldorf-based, Henkel, which owns major household brands including聽Schwarzkopf, Persil聽and聽Loctite, uses Hiring Hub鈥檚 Portal product to consolidate all its third-party recruitment activity, allowing it to ensure compliance, track supplier performance, and route all payments through one vendor and platform.
The three-year deal for Hiring Hub鈥檚 enterprise product,聽Portal, gives the cloud-based recruitment platform provider a foothold in Germany.
