Cyber technology firm听VST Enterprises听丑补蝉听submitted pilot programmes听to the government which it claims could help return fans to sports venues.听
The 鈥楩ans are back鈥� programmes, recently submitted to the听Department of Culture Media & Sport and Prime Minister鈥檚 Office, have been talked up by former听Sports Minister Richard Caborn.听
They aim to听help听football, rugby, snooker听and听other听sports听safely embrace the return of supporters听following听Boris Johnson鈥檚听pledge to听get stadiums open by October.听
The pilots听would听use COVID-19 rapid testing kits which produce results in 10 minutes along with GDPR–compliant digital health passports to authenticate and validate听the听results.听听
The proposals are for a听sample group of between 500-5,000 home fans tested a day prior to a specially designated football or rugby match.听
Caborn said:听鈥淭his is exactly what the government need to be encouraging sports administrators to adopt for听fans to be safe in coming back into the sports stadiums and major events.听听
鈥淏y running the ‘Fans are back鈥� test pilot programme, this will allow the football and rugby clubs to trial a programme of rapid testing and using a V-Health Passport to confirm and authorise a person鈥檚 COVID status.听听听
鈥淚n my opinion it is a significant and positive way in ensuring that spectator sports can resume in the UK where we test,听test,听test听and use a health passport to validate that test result.听听
鈥淭hat is the only way we can ensure that sports fans are safely entering a stadium as test negative.鈥�听
Unlike contact tracing apps used by the听government,听VST says its听V-Health Passport does not track or trace a听person鈥�s听live location or breach personal privacy protocols听–听and ensures personal data is听ultra secure听by听using the most advanced security protocols and encryption.听听听
It has partnered with听sports听marketing consultancy听REDSTRIKE,听public safety and event management听firm听HALO Solutions and occupational health care company Latus Health听for the pilots.听
HALO听has听extensive experience managing and supporting events such as the Cricket World Cup 2019, Isle听Of听Wight Festivals, BBC Sports Personality听Of听The听Year to British Athletics providing event safety and management.听听听
Medical administration and testing will be carried out by Latus Health and Infinite Global Possibilities who have extensive experience in occupational health for corporates and COVID-19 testing with clients ranging from investment bank JP Morgan to Morrison鈥檚 supermarkets.听听听
Should听it听complete successful trials, VST says听other pilot programs will then be rolled out across music concerts, theatre and听entertainment venues.听
