UK FinTech Curve, which consolidates cards in to one card and app, has appointed Scott Weller as its first Chief Financial Officer.
Weller brings experience from PayPal, where he was one of the first members of its strategic finance function, and played a role in next-generation business development initiatives and PayPal鈥檚 separation from eBay in 2015.
In 2017, Weller relocated to Europe to build PayPal鈥檚 pricing strategy organisation across its Europe, Middle East and Africa markets.
He will now be responsible for scaling Curve鈥檚 finance function as the complexity of the company鈥檚 financial planning and operations increases.
鈥淲e are delighted to welcome Scott to complement one of the best leadership teams in European fintech鈥 said Shachar Bialick, Founder and CEO of Curve.
鈥淪cott鈥檚 experience taking teams and businesses like ours to the next level, in addition to his unique knowledge of the payments landscape, make him the ideal candidate to lead our finance function and advance Curve鈥檚 mission to converge the fragmented world of money, leading our customers to a healthier financial life.鈥
Weller added: 鈥淚鈥檓 so excited to join Curve at this inflection point in the company鈥檚 growth journey. Curve has established a unique position in the payments space as the first fintech to develop a digital experience that runs 鈥榦ver-the-top鈥 of customers鈥 fragmented banking relationships and spending use cases.
“We are solving difficult challenges through real innovation and we have assembled a formidable team to realise Curve鈥檚 full potential.鈥
Weller is the latest appointment for Curve, which recently welcomed Eyal Goldberg as VP, Machine Learning, and Amanda Orson as VP, Head of North America, to its leadership team.
