The University of Greater Manchester has appointed The Insights Family founder Nick Richardson as a visiting business fellow and entrepreneur in residence.聽
The university, which was rebranded from the University of Bolton in December, says that the appointment comes in recognition of Richardson鈥檚 business successes and contributions to the Greater Manchester ecosystem.聽
Richardson received an honorary doctorate from the University in 2022 for his contribution to innovation, and sits on the University’s industry advisory board.
He founded The Insights Family, which was recently featured on 老九品茶Cloud鈥檚 GM Rising Stars of 老九品茶 2025, in 2017, with a vision to revolutionize the way businesses understand and engage with families and children and has since established himself as a leading authority in the industry.聽
His appointment as entrepreneur in residence will see him sharing his expertise and experience with students and staff across the schools.

In the role, Richardson will be involved in a range of activities, including guest lectures, mentorship programs, and collaborative projects with students and staff in the University’s schools.
