University of Southampton spin-out聽AccelerComm has closed 拢21.5m in Series B funding from Parkwalk, Swisscom and Hostplus.
AccelerComm is helping lay the foundations for the next generation of faster, more reliable wireless communications.
The investment includes participation from existing investors IQ Capital, Bloc Ventures and IP Group and will be used to continue to expand the current team, drive US and global expansion.
Founded by Professor Rob Maunder at the University of Southampton in 2016, AccelerComm has established itself as a leader in the field of channel coding, also known as forward error correction, and is already working with Vodafone, Intel, AMD and National Instruments.
Driven by a leadership team comprising executives and senior talent from ARM, Qualcomm and Ericsson, the company has won multiple awards including winning a Global Mobile Award at MWC Barcelona in 2022.

AccelerComm鈥檚 award-winning 5G channel coding IP is used to correct mobile transmission errors caused by noise, interference and poor signal strength.
