Clean energy technology company UrbanChain has partnered with Believ in a deal that will see one of the UK鈥檚 fastest-growing clean energy innovators power one of the nation鈥檚 best-backed EV charge point operators with traceable, verifiable renewable energy.

Based at Manchester Science Park, UrbanChain will supply Believ鈥檚 expanding public charging network, which aims to deliver at least 30,000 charge points nationwide.

The agreement marks the Manchester firm鈥檚 first partnership with a national EV charge point operator.

Believ, which is backed by 拢300 million in investment from Liberty Global, Zouk Capital and infrastructure banks including Santander, ABN Amro, NatWest and MUFG, is focused on delivering on-street charging solutions in residential areas.聽

Its mission is to make it easier for drivers without private parking to switch to electric vehicles.

A significant share of the company’s investment is being channelled into rapid and ultra-rapid charging hubs, as well as initiatives to improve access in rural and underserved communities.
