Sarah Walker has been appointed CEO of聽 Cisco UK and Ireland.

She succeeds David Meads as he transitions to lead the company鈥檚 operations in the Middle East and Africa.

Walker has built a career in digital technology and communications, including 25 years at BT in a variety of senior leadership roles.

She joined Cisco two years ago to lead its Enterprise business in the UK and Ireland and was responsible for the company鈥檚 relationships with more than a 100 large, private sector organisations across key sectors 鈥 ranging from transport to pharmaceuticals and financial services.

The new CEO is also the executive sponsor of Women of Cisco in the UK and Ireland; non-executive director at Liverpool Women鈥檚 Hospital Trust; and is the chair of the Board of Trustees at Greater Manchester Academies Trust.
