A firm which developed wearable boxing tech with the help of world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has moved into its own headquarters in the centre of Manchester.
Known as Corner, the real-time boxing tracker was developed at The Landing incubator in MediaCityUK and was tested by Joshua, super-middleweight champion Callum Smith and boxing coach Joe Gallagher.
The GB Olympic boxing team is now using the tech, which helps boxers focus their training and hit their goals faster, to track performance.
Co-founders Charles Burr and Jerry Krylov worked from home for a time before joining The Landing, which enabled them to rapidly prototype devices.
鈥淚 remember day one. For the first time we had two desks together and we could really set to work developing the product. It was a strange feeling but it was the best move we made,鈥� said Krylov.
鈥淭he team at The Landing believed in us and were always looking out for us. They really understood what we were trying to achieve. They provided the user testing labs as well as the connections, investment and training opportunities.
“It鈥檚 been a phenomenal journey and we鈥檙e so excited to be ready to move on to our very own HQ.
鈥淲e have achieved so much in the last three years and the future is really exciting. We also have lots of plans for developing the product further and for building our new HQ, which will incorporate a gym and a professional聽boxing ring where we can test the product as we develop it.
“We鈥檒l also have a creative co-working space and photographic studio for other creative start-ups to use.鈥�
