Tech training and placement provider TechTalent has partnered with IT services provider Version 1 to provide guaranteed tech jobs in the West Midlands.
Working through a joint Digital Skills Academy scheme, which is backed by the West Midlands Combined Authority鈥檚 adult education budget, Version 1 and TechTalent will upskill and train individuals from across the West Midlands region.
Over 拢200,000 has been made available to support the scheme, which will deliver 60 guaranteed jobs with Version 1 for students who successfully complete a course with the Academy.聽
During the 12-week training programme, TechTalent will work as Version 1鈥檚 official training partner to provide students with access to a purposeful and long-lasting career in tech through its attract, train and deploy model.
The model connects organisations with tech specialists through a scalable hiring solution for organisations looking to access appropriately experienced tech talent.

The Digital Skills Academy has been created to support people from a range of backgrounds 鈥� including college leavers, those looking for a change in career, those looking to return to the workforce after an extended period and those with existing technical skills 鈥� to find a fulfilling job in tech.
The WMCA is a combined group of authorities made up of 17 local councils and three local enterprise partnerships. It is supporting the Digital Skills Academy through its adult education budget.

Through the Digital Skills Academy, students will gain key industry certifications across the Version 1 Partner Network which includes Oracle Platinum Partners, Microsoft Gold Partners, and AWS Advanced Consulting Partners.
