Leading parcel delivery company Yodel has been acquired by Polish-based logistics company InPost.

The move, which is being described as game-changing, will accelerate the Polish firm鈥檚 growth and integrate out-of-home and locker-to-door solutions in the UK under one brand.

InPost will now scale its operations significantly, expand its service offering and provide greater convenience to聽 retailers and customers.聽

Following the transaction, its UK market share has increased to around 8%,聽 positioning the company as the third largest agnostic e-commerce logistics carrier in the UK.聽

Under the terms of the transaction, InPost has acquired 95.5% of Judge Logistics Ltd share capital (鈥楯LL鈥), parent company of Yodel Delivery Network (鈥榊odel鈥), with PayPoint retaining a minority stake of 4.5%.聽

Until the transaction date, InPost had provided JLL with financing amounting to 拢106 million in the聽 form of convertible loan notes.聽

The acquisition builds on the partnership established between InPost and Yodel in October 2024, when the Liverpool-based business began providing last-mile services through InPost鈥檚 鈥渓ocker-to-door鈥 service.聽聽

Yodel was rescued from the brink of collapse in February 2024 by YDLGP, a newly-formed company backed by investment bank Solano Partners and the logistics firm Shift.
