A campaign has been launched to raise 拢500,000 in memory of Abi Godfrey, a director of Grant Thornton鈥檚 North West corporate finance business who died last month aged 34.

The money will be used to support her baby son Leo and her family.

On May 28th her former colleagues at Grant Thornton will be taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in her memory.

Tributes paid to Grant Thornton鈥檚 Abi Godfrey, 34

Peter Terry, a partner at Grant Thornton UK and practice lead in the North West, said: 鈥淎s a team, we completed this challenge together before Abi joined us, and she always said how much she would love for us to do it again so that she could be part of it.聽This time, we are doing it for her.

鈥淲e will be walking in Abi鈥檚 memory whilst raising funds for baby Leo, to support him and his family during an incredibly difficult time.鈥

Terry invited other people to join the team and members of Abi鈥檚 family on the walk.

鈥淭here is no need to complete the whole 26-mile walk, or even one of the shorter one or two peak options, to donate,鈥 he said. 鈥淎ny donation, big or small, will help us honour Abi鈥檚 memory and make a meaningful difference for Leo.鈥
