The full schedule for the Birmingham Tech Week festival has been announced.聽
The events, taking place from 16th-20th October 2023, will feature talks from a host of leading minds.
Birmingham Tech Week 2023 is set to be the biggest in the event鈥檚 four-year history, with 7,500 people estimated to attend across five days. Starting the week off with a bang is the Tech Leadership Breakfast, featuring a panel with Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street; Carolyn Dawson OBE, CEO of Founders Forum; Paul Scully MP, Minister for London; and CEO of HSBC UK, Ian Stuart.聽
Other speakers throughout the week include leaders from Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture, IBM and Jaguar Land Rover.
While there are main events aplenty 鈥� including a Digital Skills Symposium on Tuesday, a conference to showcase the tech of tomorrow on Wednesday and a Scale-Up Summit on Thursday 鈥� the festival will also showcase the region鈥檚 innovative thinkers at fringe events throughout the week.
Among them, held on Monday, is a launch event for the Local Digital Capital Index from membership body techUK.
The importance of data for the real estate sector will be discussed at Supertech鈥檚 dedicated fringe event on Tuesday, in partnership with The Real Estate Data (RED) Foundation.
FinTech fans might be more interested in BNP Paribas Personal Finance鈥檚 Wednesday fringe event; a live connector in partnership with SuperTech, which invites AI businesses for an exploratory exchange of innovative ideas, products and services, to inform their future roadmap.
National and international businesses and investors looking to locate in the West Midlands can attend West Midlands Growth Company鈥檚 fringe events, which will showcase the city鈥檚 tech talent, from the CreaTech ecosystem in the Custard Factory to an exploration of the region鈥檚 5G capabilities at the University of Wolverhampton.
To round off the week, 1,000 tech experts and digital leaders will be in attendance at the Black-Tie Dinner & Tech Awards 鈥� a chance to celebrate the tech ecosystem in the West Midlands.
