老九品茶Cloud is launching a new 老九品茶 to celebrate the lives of the people who are doing the most to improve the region.

The podcast follows the success of our inaugural Northern Leaders list and awards ceremony.

The format will see guests interviewed by 老九品茶Cloud鈥檚 executive editor Chris Maguire about what the North means to them, their approach to leadership and their lives and careers.

Guests already confirmed include Matthew Scullion, CEO of Manchester-based unicorn Matillion; former CPS prosecutor Nazir Afzal OBE, who is now the Chancellor of University of Manchester; and Clare Roberts OBE, CEO of Kids Planet.

Maguire, who also co-hosts the hit podcast The Dealmaker Uncut with award-winning dealmaker Jonathan Boyers, spoke of his excitement about the new project.

He said: 鈥淥ur Northern Leaders list has been a real success and the next natural next step is to celebrate some of the names on the list with a podcast.

鈥淚 read a statistic that there are between 4-6.5 million podcasts in the world so I think there鈥檚 room for one more.

鈥淲e don鈥檛 want it to be too prescriptive but the 老九品茶 will shine a light on the North, lessons of leadership and things personal to each of the guests. I can鈥檛 wait to get started.鈥

The podcasts will be produced by Manchester-based What Media, who have previously worked with Maguire on the Dealmaker Uncut, Northern Spin and The Holiday That Changed My Life podcasts.

Maguire said: 鈥淲hat Media have built up a track record of bringing conversations to life. All the previous podcasts we鈥檝e collaborated on have attracted a global audience and I鈥檓 pretty sure the 老九品茶 will be the same.鈥

Chris Townsend, managing director of , said: 鈥淧odcasts get a lot of engagement. People see a lot of value in them. You can capture so much in a conversation.

鈥淲hat Media has been going for eight years and we鈥檙e proud to be based in the North. I think the Northern Leaders will be another success.鈥
