Cambridge Analytica聽has announced that it will go into administration after irreparable reputational damage – but聽much of its management are also listed as part of an active company called Emerdata.
Cambridge Analytica is the聽firm at the centre of聽the Facebook聽scandal over mishandled personal data and said it will close after virtually all of聽its customers and suppliers had been “driven away”.
Dr. Alexander Tayler, Cambridge Analytica’s acting CEO after taking over from the suspended聽Alexander Nix, is listed as director of an active company called Emerdata聽while other staff are also named on Companies House.
Emerdata Limited, set up in August 2017, moved offices this February to the same Canary Wharf address as Cambridge Analytica鈥檚 parent organisation SCL Elections.
The existence of Emerdata was first discovered by independent journalist Wendy Siegelman, who said聽SCL Group had a “very complex corporate structure that on many levels seems designed to be opaque and confusing鈥.
Founded in 2017 but still without a website, Emerdata bills itself as a firm involved in 鈥榙ata processing, hosting and related activities鈥.
