Flight consolidator Aviate has recorded its strongest ever January sales, with double-digit growth in ticketed income.

The company develops and operates ticketing and booking platforms for major international airlines, working with over 50 airlines including Emirates, Quantas and Virgin Atlantic.

Its聽technology allows travel agents and businesses to easily book trips for their customers.

The Cheshire-based company enjoyed a 55 per cent increase in ticketed sales year on year for the first seven months of its financial year to the end of January 2018.

鈥淚鈥檓 thrilled with the results for the last seven months and it鈥檚 great to see the business build on those successes moving into 2018,鈥 said managing director Michael Edwards.

鈥淭he continued improvements are a real testament to the hard work and dedication of the Aviate team.

鈥淲e have already signed some major contracts with new airlines in early 2018 and we have a host of developments planned for the business this year, so I鈥檓 confident that we will continue to see growth in sales and turnover.鈥

In 2014/15, Aviate worked with ten airlines, generating 拢21.2m revenue. In 2015/16 and 2016/17, revenue was at 拢38.7m and 拢60.7m respectively.

Aviate鈥檚 sister company Lime, which provides a search, booking and ticketing service to the UK travel trade seeking British Airways tickets, saw revenue from ticket sales grow by 27 per cent in the first four months of their financial year.

The company is forecasted to turn over 拢105m for the financial year.
