FinTech recruiters Wave Search have highlighted the role one of the UK鈥檚 largest聽business parks has played in its rapid expansion.

Based in Discovery Park, Sandwich, the firm has grown from a聽start-up to become strategic partners for several global, multi-billion dollar organisations in just 12 months.

Wave Search works with the likes of KPMG, AON, Tata, Cognizant and Nationwide Building Society.

The company was formed in June 2015 by Gareth Jones, after he spent nine years working in London for an international recruitment firm.

He said: 鈥淲hen I decided to set up my own business, it was important to find a corporate but friendly environment that was well connected to London and reflected the calibre of clients and candidates that Wave represent.

鈥淭here are great facilities at the park. There鈥檚 a certain level of professionalism here that was difficult to find in other offices and business hubs locally.鈥

Reflecting back on the launch of the business, Gareth added: 鈥淲ave Search began life in the Start Up Zone, it was ideal for us and the other businesses still in their early stages.

鈥淓veryone鈥檚 business ventures were at a similar stage, there was pleasant community feel, so it really felt like the right place for us at the time.鈥

With two full time employees currently working for the business and more planned for 2017, Wave has an innovative business model whereby they work with an associate network of small recruitment firms and independents that support delivery into Wave鈥檚 impressive client portfolio.

Gareth explains: 鈥淚n terms of FTE鈥檚, our expansion during our time at Discovery Park hasn鈥檛 been significant, but in that time, we have built a stellar client portfolio.

鈥淲e have also built a network of trusted associates and industry experts that give Wave subject matter expertise.鈥

Discovery Park is Europe鈥檚 leading science and technology park, based on the outskirts of Sandwich, Kent. Its companies and organisations are encouraged to work together and share information.
