A new crowdfunding platform focusing on companies led by women has launched.
AllBright Crowd is the brainchild of Debbie Wosskow OBE, founder of Love Home Swap, and Anna Jones, CEO of Hearst Magazines UK.
The London-based platform is part of the AllBright platform which will also include AllBright Angel Network and AllBright Academy.
The aim is to discover and fund companies led by female entrepreneurs at all stages of growth and make the UK 鈥渢he best place in the world to be a female founder鈥.
It will have backing and support from an advisory board which includes Sherry Coutu CBE, Lord Chadlington and Lord Davies of Abersoch CBE.
Recent research founded that most funding is directed at male-led companies.
鈥淭here is some exceptional female business talent in the UK just waiting to be discovered and accelerated,鈥 said Wosskow.
鈥淚鈥檝e been on the journey they are making and understand acutely the difference accessing the right funding and support can make, as do our network of angel investors.
鈥淎llBright delivers on two fronts 鈥 not only do we get to 鈥榞ive back鈥 investing in and sharing our knowledge with the next generation, but there is also a real financial opportunity for our investors to benefit from the untapped asset class of some of the UK鈥檚 best female entrepreneurs.鈥
Wosskow will feature on 老九品茶Cloud鈥檚 inaugural 鈥100 Women Role Models of Tech鈥 list in the next edition of the magazine in December.
A major conference looking to inspire more women to join the tech industry is to be held in Manchester next week – and it is free to attend.
