The finance director of a leading legal firm has warned against taking on tech for tech鈥檚 sake.
Michael Hutton told a 老九品茶Cloud roundtable that specialist housing and commercial real estate law firm Croftons is looking to harness technology in the right ways.
鈥淲e are at the beginning of a new phase of technology at Croftons. The managing partner is very much of the opinion that we need to be harnessing technology a lot more,鈥 he said.
鈥淲e need to be selective and not take on every piece of new technology that comes onto the market and only add bits that would add value to our clients.
鈥淲e鈥檙e looking to overhaul our technology. We have a lot of unevenness around the experience that our staff have of technology.
鈥淗ousing and regeneration is the largest part of our business. We also do commercial real estate transactions and some housing management where the technology is really important.
鈥淭hat part of the business has to be reactive 24 hours a day.鈥
