Today we can reveal the inaugural Northern Ireland Tech 50 – our ranking of the country’s most innovative technology companies.
PlotBoxtops the list of outstanding tech creators after securing backing from both an independent judging panel and our readers.
TheBallymena-based cemetery management application was developedhand-in-handwith clients on the West Coast of the US after coming through the prestigious 500Startupsaccelerator in San Francisco.
It topped the ranking ahead ofaxial3D, which gives clinicians access to patient-specific 3D-printed models.

Belfast companies made up the remainder of the top 10, with lip-reading technologyfirmLiopathird ahead ofconnected device security companyAngokaandtech giantKainos, which develops digital transformation platforms.
AquaQAnalytics, See.Sense,Neurovalens, B-Securand Re-Vana Therapeuticscompleted the top 10.Thirty-seven of the top 50 are based in Belfast.
ϾƷCloudcalled on its readers to vote for companies from a70-strong shortlist and saw3,100 votes pour in.
A combination of these votes and choices from an expert judging panel determined the top 50.
