The days of clunky wearables and聽one-size-fits-all training plans could soon be a thing of the past for聽athletes with the arrival of聽high-tech smart insoles from NWTNLabs.
The team hit聽hit their funding target for RUNVI on Kickstarter in less than 48 hours, despite having a month for the campaign.
The insoles provide real measurement to reduce the risk of injury and help health and聽fitness lovers achieve their goals more efficiently.
RUNVI features accurate technique and performance measurement, power measurement, real-time coaching and personalised dynamic training plans.
Through this running enthusiasts can build a full profile of their聽biomechanics to personalise training experiences.
Unlike other health and fitness wearables, RUNVI doesn’t include visible clip-ons or bulky gadgets which can complicate and compromise performance.
All features have been expertly designed to fit into sleek and stylish聽smart insoles that聽slot into regular running shoes and trainers.
鈥淥ur advanced pressure sensor technology combined with sports science helps runners, cyclists and other athletes benefit from accurate measurement and real-time feedback,鈥 said Daniel Waldthausen, CDO and founder of NWTNLabs.
鈥淭his reduces their risk of injury and helps them achieve their performance goals. RUNVI is the first true digital equivalent of a professional running coach.鈥
Franz Koch, former聽PUMA CEO, advisor and brand ambassador said: 鈥淩UNVI sets a completely new standard in sports tech.
鈥淒elivering the most accurate data in the market and featuring the latest innovation in training science and biomechanics, this is the future of running.鈥
RUNVI combines training science and leading-edge sensor technology in a smart insole allowing for advanced running metrics such as Cadence, Foot-Strike Pattern and Symmetry. This data can be used to optimise running technique, boost performance and reduce the risk of injury.
RUNVI’s technology measures and analyses data during runs, while also providing motivational and personalised visual and audio coaching in real-time.
Like a personal coach, RUNVI will warn users when they’re risking injury or fatigue, giving real-time feedback for immediate improvement or allowing them to fine-tune their running technique.
Once a user sets their goals, RUNVI will create adaptive training plans – the more it’s used, the smarter it gets.
Taking data from individual running techniques and historical and real-time performances, training plans are dynamic and continuously optimised.
鈥淚t鈥檚 not so much about practicing more and harder, it is actually about training smarter. RUNVI facilitates that, taking your performance to the next level,鈥 said Jonas Plass, former Olympic runner, sports scientist and brand ambassador
RUNVI’s app then delivers feedback specifically tailored to the user and their goals. It can be synced with iPhones and Apple Watches, integrating with HealthKit and sharing data with its community, encouraging friendly competition between users.
Paired with a mobile device, exercisers can also track their route using GPS, as well as monitor distance, speed, time and altitude.
The app recognises and tracks activities such as walking, running, standing, sitting, stairs and cycling – catering for all the entire spectrum of health and fitness lovers. It also provides educational content and coaching videos, packaged up as a Running Academy.
