A primary school in聽Leeds has halved its daily paper usage after installing specialist software to track what is being printed and who is printing it.
Systems put in place by print solutions firm ABS UK Ltd have saved Little London Primary School more than 7,500 sheets of A4 paper over 12 months.
That equates to 拢700 of print costs while reducing its impact on the environment by the equivalent of 1,000 bulb hours or 20kg of C02 emissions.
The software validates print access through swipe cards and unique user names and passwords. It has also resulted in fewer colour copies being printed.
